SoluBio, a biotechnology company that produces bio-inputs on farms, has won the sustainable category of the South Summit Brasil startup competition, which took place in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.
The result was announced on the last day of the event, which took place between May 4th and 6th, to reward agtech’s on-farm bio-input production module solution.
According to the organizers of the event, there were more than a thousand startups registered, 45% from Brazil and 55% from other countries, such as the United States, Spain, India, Nigeria, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Argentina and Colombia. Of these, 50 reached the final stage of the competition.
According to SoluBio’s Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Mauricio Schneider, winning this award caps some of the real impact work the team has been doing for five years.
“Being recognized as the most sustainable startup among more than a thousand competitors demonstrates that we are on the right path and that Brazilian agribusiness is sustainable and is in line with the UN’s sustainable development goals,” he says.
In addition to being the most sustainable startup, South Summit Brasil awarded the big winner of the competition (Yours Bank) and the categories innovation (Pix Force), scalable (Genially) and best team (Aprix).
On farm
Professionals with over 20 years of experience in agribusiness created SoluBio in 2016. From the beginning, the company’s focus was to bring its customers more sustainable and economical alternatives in rural activity.
The company created a platform for the production of bioinput on the farm for its own use with an industrial standard, called Solubio Experience 3.0, which has: LabFarm; BioFábrica OnFarm; SoluFarm; and OnFarm Support.
SoluBio has one of the most complete bioinput factory in Latin America, with pharmaceutical production standards, being the first biological company in the country to have a Customer Success team.
Today, with almost 500 employees and a scientific team of at least 20 PhD’s, the company is present in much of the national territory with the mission of bringing sustainability to agribusiness.
SoluBio is a company committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, whose big dream is to democratize OnFarm Biological Management globally.
